Munition in cauliflower - Aadhavan (2009)

Nothing ambitious but I liked it. It's my 1st tamil movie which I seen without subs and I get more then I expected xD

Plot is mainly about a clever guy (Surya) which is kind of crminal. With a help of sevant (Vadhivelu), he comes to home of a important minister, where grandma (Saroja Devi) rules. He got to take revenge on their whole family...
But Will he succeed? Even if love comes?

As I said - nothing ambitious. Commercial flick, profit-oriented.
Surya? This guy can mess up some role? I don't think so :) He's brilliant everywhere! Here also.
Nayantara and Vadhivelu were equal - nothing special, but he wasn't so annoying - strange :P Saroja was good. Villains were typical but not bad.
Plot? Kind of confused. The only bigger doubt I have is (spoiler)how will Surya charackter survive after such big injuries? (end of spoiler) It's impossible! But... It's a movie anyway xD
Music - I've heard opinions that this is the weakest Harris OST till date and I disagree. Every song is good, I liked the most Hasili Fisili and Yeno Yeno - fab male vocals.
Sum up? Surya fans will watch it for sure.

Surya! - Ghajini (2005), Perazhagan (2004), Kaaka Kaaka (2003), Unnai Ninaithu (2002)

Well, Surya is defenitly one of my favest actors. He's brilliant in every aspect - acting, choosing good scrips and even in real life.

GHAJINI

I didn't liked it, it failed wheven I compare this picture to my expectations...

Sanjay Ramaswamy (Surya) was a sucessful buisnessman but now he suffer from memory loss.
What happend to him and his fiancee (Asin)?

Overall, this movie isn't stunnning but when I seen hindi remake (thanks to grus which borrowed dvd to me :)) I think this version is better.
Surya is a totally brilliant guy. I think that he'll be the Next Generation Kamal Hassan when Vijay became the next Rajinikanth xD I liked a lot more Surya's acting than Aamir, he's more true as Sanju.
Asin? Why always seems the same for me? Everywhere. You know that her latest flick called Bombay Dreams is just the second flop in her whole career? Previous one was Chakram [Prabhas, the King of Flops xD]
Nayantara was really crappy here although her character is weak. Villain, Pradeep Rawat, is equal.
Plot is a bit confused and some holes are in. Love plot wasn't finished and I didn't like it because of it. Revenge? Good end, the and , when (spoilers)Sanjay drives a car and looks on those little girl(end of spoilers), was one of my fav moments here.
Music hasn't stunned it, I've heard it a couple of time before. I like Sutrum Vizhi but also Oru Maalai is nice (Karthik get a Filmfare for it!).
Sum up? A bit typical tamil movie - dark and confused. Must-see for every lover of Bollywood version.

PERAZHAGAN

Sooo confused... But main cast was fab.

Karthik (Surya) is a "handsome guy" (the title means that). He has heart of gold and a marriadge broker (Vivek), which tries to find a good match for him knows that.
He knows Priya (Jyothika), duaghter of a police officer. He dad dislike her boyfriend (Surya)...
Some things happens and their lifes are tottaly messed up.

Main actors are totally awesome!
Rest of cast? Not bad.
One of the most confused plots I've ever seen. Isn't the break a bit late?
Music? I liked only Ambulli Mamma.
So, must-see only because of Jo, Surya and Vivek.

VEL

Again double Surya!

A family lose child, one of twins.
They doesn't know that their son is now named Vel (Surya) and he grows up in a specific family.
Years have passed, mum of twins is still in a big depression. The second twin (Surya) is now a detective, he meets Swati (Asin) in work and they fall in love in each other...
What will happend if twins get to know about each other? Will the family unite?

Surya? How he can be bad? Impossible.
Asin? Typical. Vadhivelu? God, I hate him. Grandma? Bad, bad woman! How she could do that?
Plot? Nothing stunning. I liked leg cutting^^
Music is for me weak, I didn't liked any of those crappy songs.
To sum up - Surya is fine, fans of him should watch it.

About last ones (KAAKA KAAKA and UNNAI NINAITHU) just few words - good movies but I haven't loved them.

For both I would give:

Look who was in UN:

To cut long story short - as Surya is a great actor, most of I've seen his movies aren't so stunning. I think that nothing can beat Varanam Ayiram!

Two movies about commmon mens doing special things - Passenger (2009) and A Wednesday (2008)

I've seen malayalam movie Passenger only because of Mamta Mohandas. I like movies from Malluwood (Mollywood) but for now I've seen about 5 and I don't want more at all, but after this one maybe I'll change my mind :)

PASSENGER
I was totally surised - this movie was great!

Anuradha (Mamta Mohandas) and Nandan Menon (Dileep) are hapilly married. She's a journalist and he's a lawyer. The are known for their seek for justice. Now they both are involved in Minister Thomas Chacko (Jagathi Sreekumar) case.
Sathyanathan (Srinivasan) travel by the same train everyday. One day, he have to do extra hours and he travel by other one. He falls asleep and miss his station, than meets Nandan who helps him.
When they are saying 'bye', Sathyanathan sees that some goons are kidnapping lawyer...
Anuradha with a little help of her mate, install internet camera in Minister room and she sees sth that really confused and scares her... Chacko gets to know that she knows it and she have to runaway.
How will their story end? Will the disaster happend?

The best malayalam movie I've seen so far.
Dileep was good but I have to praise Mamta. She was stunning (but dubbed...)! After her two Tolly movies I've seen (Yamadonga and King) I really liked her but after this flick I got to claim her a a good actress.
Srinivasan role was maybe not so demanding but he was also superb. Taxi driver - I've seen him before in Love in Singapure, here he was much better. Jagathi - villain! He could be better.
I have to say that I usually dislike tough social movies, I prefer sth light and funny, but this movie really helped me to grow up for more serious cinema. I wasn't bored even a bit! Although the plot has some holes (how they haven't heard working computer? every movie from others web cam is automaticlly saving while watching? they could guess where Anuradha is by her mobile signal!), I claim it as a one of the best in 2009.
Music? Only one song, in ending titles, but background score is nice.
Sum up? Must-see!

After this flick I decided to watch

A WEDNESDAY

because I thought I'm prepared to do it. And I wasn't wrong!

Retiring policeman (Anupam Kher) gets a photne call with a short message: 'This is going the be the most important day

of your life'. Not only him, but also few poeple.
Who's that? What he wants?

Another awesome flick.
Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah where totally brilliant. Jimmy Sherghill suprised me - he was also very good, just like the whole cast.
Plot is very, very fresh, like Passenger, but also after watch it didn't leaves you thoghtless. It reminds about some very simple and known but now frogotten things.
Music? Background is good.
Sum up? Another must-see.

It is just amazing to see two fabulous movies in such a short period of time :)
I thnk I'll see Eenadu just to compare it with A Wednesday. Eenadu is a Kamal Hassan's South remake of it, it's bilingual - in tamil version the Anupham role is played by Mohanlal, in telugu it's Venkatesh job.

I'm courious to see how Venky managed this role.
